We are looking for an experienced and motivated Plant Operations Tutor to join our Sheffield team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and classroom-based training to learners working towards plant operation qualifications. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong industry experience who is passionate about developing others.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver plant operations training (theory and practical) to groups of learners
- Support learners to achieve relevant CPCS/NPORS plant tickets
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
- Ensure all training is delivered in line with awarding body and compliance requirements
- Promote a safe working environment at all times
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners where required
Requirements
- Proven industry experience in plant operations (e.g. excavators, dumpers, rollers, etc.)
- Relevant plant tickets (CPCS or NPORS)
- Teaching qualification (e.g. AET, PTLLS, or equivalent)
- Assessor qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Passion for supporting learners into employment
