Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Forklift Truck (FLT) Instructor to join our Lincoln training centre on a six-month fixed-term contract.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Forklift Truck training to learners, ensuring they achieve nationally recognised qualifications whilst maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and learner engagement. You will deliver practical and classroom-based instruction, assess learner competence and support individuals throughout their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver RTITB or LANTRA accredited Forklift Truck training programmes.
- Deliver practical and theory-based FLT training in line with awarding body standards.
- Prepare learners for successful assessment and certification.
- Carry out learner inductions and initial assessments.
- Maintain accurate learner records and attendance documentation.
- Complete all awarding body paperwork accurately and on time.
- Ensure all training is delivered safely and in accordance with current legislation.
- Maintain training equipment and report any defects.
- Promote positive learner engagement and attendance.
- Support learners to develop employability skills and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with the Learner Engagement and Delivery teams.
- Ensure training areas remain safe, clean and compliant.
- Follow all Momentum Training policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
- Current RTITB or LANTRA Forklift Truck Instructor Accreditation (in date).
- Experience delivering accredited FLT training.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners from a variety of backgrounds.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education & Training or equivalent).
- Assessing qualification.
- Experience delivering government-funded training programmes.
- Experience working with unemployed learners.
