Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm; Friday 8.30am - 4pm (37.5 hours per week)

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Forklift Truck (FLT) Instructor to join our Lincoln training centre on a six-month fixed-term contract.

The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Forklift Truck training to learners, ensuring they achieve nationally recognised qualifications whilst maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and learner engagement. You will deliver practical and classroom-based instruction, assess learner competence and support individuals throughout their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver RTITB or LANTRA accredited Forklift Truck training programmes.
  • Deliver practical and theory-based FLT training in line with awarding body standards.
  • Prepare learners for successful assessment and certification.
  • Carry out learner inductions and initial assessments.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and attendance documentation.
  • Complete all awarding body paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all training is delivered safely and in accordance with current legislation.
  • Maintain training equipment and report any defects.
  • Promote positive learner engagement and attendance.
  • Support learners to develop employability skills and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with the Learner Engagement and Delivery teams.
  • Ensure training areas remain safe, clean and compliant.
  • Follow all Momentum Training policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current RTITB or LANTRA Forklift Truck Instructor Accreditation (in date).
  • Experience delivering accredited FLT training.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education & Training or equivalent).
  • Assessing qualification.
  • Experience delivering government-funded training programmes.
  • Experience working with unemployed learners.
