Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Learner Engagement Officer to join our Derby team. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships within the community and helping individuals take the next step towards employment. The Role As a Learner Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for attracting, engaging and enrolling learners onto Momentum's funded training programmes. You will build strong relationships with referral partners, attend community events and job fairs, support marketing initiatives and ensure learners receive an excellent experience from their initial enquiry through to enrolment. You will also play an important role in maintaining learner records, supporting progression activity and working closely with colleagues across the business to help achieve recruitment and progression targets. Key Responsibilities Promote Momentum's funded training programmes across Derby and the surrounding areas. Recruit and enrol learners onto training programmes, ensuring all eligibility criteria are met. Build and maintain relationships with referral partners including Jobcentre Plus, housing associations, charities, community groups, local authorities and other organisations. Attend job fairs, recruitment events, careers fairs and community engagement activities to promote Momentum's training opportunities. Conduct learner information sessions and enrolment appointments. Complete learner enrolment paperwork accurately and within agreed timescales. Maintain accurate learner records using PICS and internal systems. Ensure learner notes and compliance documentation are completed to a high standard. Support learner progression by maintaining contact with learners after completion and gathering employment and progression outcomes. Update progression records and forward employment updates to the relevant internal teams. Work closely with tutors, Business Development Officers and management to support learner recruitment and progression. Promote Momentum through social media by sharing learner success stories, centre activities and course promotions. Assist with organising and supporting recruitment campaigns and tional events. Ensure the Enrolment Error Tracker is monitored and actioned promptly. Represent Momentum professionally at all times within the local community. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Success within this role will be measured against agreed KPIs, including: Learner enrolments. Learner progression outcomes. Development of new referral partnerships. Social media and promotional activity. Accuracy and compliance of learner records. Contribution to centre recruitment targets. Essential Criteria Experience in recruitment, learner engagement, employability, customer service, sales or business development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships with a wide range of organisations and individuals. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems. Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload. Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable Criteria Experience working within the education, training or employability sector. Knowledge of government-funded training programmes. Experience using PICS or a similar learner management system. Experience working with referral partners and community organisations. Experience of delivering presentations or information sessions.
