Brickwork Tutor / Trainer Momentum Recruitment & Training Location: Sheffield Salary: Competitive (DOE) Job Type: Full-time | Monday to Friday Help Build Futures Through Construction Training Momentum Recruitment & Training is expanding in Sheffield, and we're looking for an experienced Brickwork Tutor / Trainer to inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople. This is an opportunity for an experienced bricklayer who wants to pass on their knowledge, helping unemployed adults gain recognised qualifications and progress into employment, apprenticeships, and rewarding careers within the construction industry. Whether you're already delivering training or you're an experienced bricklayer looking to move into education, we'd love to hear from you. Support towards teaching and assessor qualifications is available for the right candidate. What You'll Be Doing You'll deliver engaging practical and classroom-based brickwork training, ensuring learners develop the skills, confidence, and qualifications needed to succeed. * Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 Brickwork and Trowel Occupations training. * Teach practical bricklaying techniques, construction methods and industry best practice. * Embed health and safety and employability skills throughout delivery. * Assess learner competence against qualification standards. * Maintain accurate learner records and support successful achievement. * Provide guidance and encouragement to help learners progress into employment or apprenticeships. * Create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve positive learner outcomes. What We're Looking For * Significant occupational experience within bricklaying or trowel occupations. * A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Bricklaying or a related trade. * Recent industry experience and strong practical workshop skills. * Excellent communication and learner support skills. * Teaching or assessor qualifications are desirable, although support can be provided to achieve these. Mandatory Centre Staffing Requirements Staff delivering these qualifications must be able to demonstrate that they: * Are technically competent in the areas they are delivering. * Can deliver across the full breadth and depth of the qualification content being taught. * Have recent relevant teaching and assessment experience in the specific area they will be delivering, or are actively working towards this. * Demonstrate ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
