Retail Merchandising Team Leader in Nottingham

Overview

Flexible Retail Merchandising work with leading UK retailers. You will lead a professional team of merchandisers across large grocery stores, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to high standards, and safely.

You will be the main point of contact for the Store Manager and Project Manager, raise and resolve any issues, and support and manage all team members. Flexibility is key – hours and days are project‑driven, typically 11‑hour shifts, with potential travel and away‑from‑home days. Training is provided and may entail buddying a Team Leader or gaining experience with specific client disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope and day‑by‑day objectives.
• Liaise with Store Manager to ensure smooth preparation and execution.
• Set daily scope of work and communicate expectations to the team.
• Monitor, manage, and report project progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Administer project documentation, including timesheets, photos, and reports.
• Manage the onsite team: ensure punctuality, proper dressing, breaks and morale.
• Motivate, develop and inspire the team.
• Ensure team treats company property with care and respect.
• Maintain health and safety standards in all working areas.
• Approach challenges with a solution‑focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Confidence in using IT systems.
• Experience working with large grocery clients.
• Competence in administrative, warehouse and shop floor procedures.
• Knowledge and experience in display and merchandising techniques, including planograms, line drawings and fixture layouts.

Remuneration & Benefits

Hourly rate: up to £13.05 ph on day shifts and £13.22 ph on night shifts.
