Job Title: Revenue Manager Salary: £50,000 (plus bonus and excellent benefits) Overview: As Revenue Manager you will be responsible for contributing to the hotels goals and values by driving revenue and profit performance from the hotels commercial team. Job Description Oversee and enhance the hotels market share, revenue, and profitability across all key revenue streams, including accommodations, meetings and event spaces, food and beverage, leisure and spa, and other relevant business sectors. Take ownership of total revenue management and ensure its success. Develop and implement sales and pricing strategies based on sound commercial judgement, supported by comprehensive analysis, reporting, and the use of business intelligence tools. Foster strong working relationships with senior management, central departments, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective execution of revenue management strategies. Prepare the annual room budget segmented by market, and actively contribute to setting the hotels full annual budget and revenue targets. Identify the appropriate market segments and distribution strategies required to meet budget goals, with a particular emphasis on driving direct bookings. Review and update the daily Demand Calendar to optimise RevPAR, RGI, and overall profitability through strategic pricing, inventory management, and sales restrictions. Generate and assess the weekly revenue report, providing detailed analysis of segment performance and trends, for submission to hotel ownership. Complete the weekly room revenue forecast by market segment, accompanied by performance analysis and commentary. Lead the weekly revenue meeting and take charge of the monthly commercial review, ensuring alignment of revenue strategies. Proactively identify potential revenue opportunities and threats, taking appropriate actions to capitalise on opportunities and address challenges in advance. Manage the hotel reservations team, focusing on optimising response times and conversion rates to meet revenue and profitability objectives. Assist the reservations team in quoting for group bookings, weddings, and conference events, ensuring alignment with demand patterns. Conduct displacement analysis for groups, weddings, conferences, and corporate accounts to assess the impact of business decisions. Collaborate with the sales team to review and challenge account production, identify new target accounts, and utilise tools like Agency360 and Hotstats for performance analysis. Supervise price negotiations for new RFPs, corporate contracts, and the targeting of new accounts to maximise profitability. Manage relationships with OTAs and other distribution partners to ensure optimal performance and competitiveness in the market. Continuously monitor competitor activity and local and global market trends that could impact the hotel’s revenue performance. Complete regular tasks related to the maintenance of hotel distribution systems and property management systems, following daily, weekly, and monthly checklists. Prepare month-end reports with detailed commentary on revenue performance, booking pace, competitive share analysis, and market segmentation across rooms and meetings and events. About You: Coming from the hotel industry, you will have extensive experience in Revenue Management, with a proven track record of overseeing the revenue department and team. Key experience with working within an energetic commercial environment with full responsibility for multiple revenue streams.
