The Opportunity A flagship five-star luxury hotel in the heart of Central London is seeking an exceptional Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering and property care function. This is a high-profile, guest-centric role within a landmark lifestyle property known for impeccable service, refined design, and world-class hospitality.
Role Overview You will oversee all maintenance operations across the hotel, ensuring the building, facilities, plant, and guest areas are maintained to flawless five-star standards. This position requires a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to deliver seamless, discreet service in a luxury environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring consistent five-star standards across all areas of the property.
Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and operations.
Maintain all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems to optimal performance.
Manage contractors, suppliers, and service partners, ensuring compliance, quality, and cost control.
Implement robust PPM schedules and ensure full statutory compliance.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Housekeeping, and Front Office to support guest experience.
Drive continuous improvement, sustainability initiatives, and energy-efficiency strategies.
Maintain accurate records, reporting, and asset management systems.
Uphold the highest standards of safety, presentation, and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Engineering Manager within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.
Strong technical expertise across building services, plant operations, and facilities management.
Calm, solutions-focused leadership style with excellent communication skills.
Ability to operate with discretion, professionalism, and a guest-first mindset.
Highly organised, detail-driven, and comfortable managing complex operations.
Strong understanding of compliance, health & safety, and statutory requirements.
