The predicted salary is between 27000 - 42000 £ per year.
The main responsibilities of this role include performing inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process materials and finished compounds to ensure they meet the required customer product quality specifications. In addition, the role involves supporting investigations into historical product trends, non-conformances, identify areas for improvement in quality control processes and assisting in continuous improvement projects.,
- Preparation of custom compound samples for production testing, investigations, or support of trend analysis.
- Quality Control testing of custom compounds to defined procedures & test methods.
- Support investigations, in case of abnormalities &/or non-conforming materials (i.e. Lab testing to the determine root cause & corrective actions required).
- Liaise with all relevant departments when investigating non-conforming materials, or products to gain a successful resolution.
- Accurately record QC test results
- Filing, maintaining & archiving of all QC sample retains, test data and batch documentation.
- Operate to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the QC Laboratory and support the upkeep of training requirements and creation of new SOPs.
- Support customer complaint investigations.
- Population of required KPIs / metrics.
- Involvement in Sustainability, Health & Safety projects.
- Involvement and implementation of Continuous Improvement Projects for the Laboratory.
The following are required for the role
- 5 GCSE Passes including Maths, English & Science
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages including, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A level/Higher National or Degree level in Science Discipline
- 3 to 5 years\’ experience in QC/Testing in a materials/polymer testing environment.
- ISO 9001 Experience
- SAP, GLIMs or similar system experience.
