We're looking for a Corporation Tax Manager to join our team based at our Burton HQ on a Hybrid basis - 2 days in & 3 WFH.

Your Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Corporation Tax Manager to take end-to-end responsibility for corporation tax compliance, reporting and advisory matters across the UK and Ireland, alongside oversight of employment tax obligations. You’ll provide proactive, practical support to stakeholders on operational and strategic tax matters, while ensuring a robust control environment and the highest standards of accuracy, governance and tax risk management.
- Corporation Tax Compliance & Reporting: Lead the preparation, review and submission of corporation tax returns and payments for all UK & Ireland entities. Manage tax provisions under US GAAP and FRS 102, along with forecasting, transfer pricing documentation and related filings.
- Tax Advisory & Business Partnering: Act as the subject matter expert for corporation and employment taxes. Provide clear, practical advice on business initiatives including cross border transactions, R&D projects, capital investments, pension funding, new employee benefits and off payroll working.
- Employment Tax Compliance: Oversee all employment tax obligations, including benefits in kind, share scheme reporting, off payroll working and taxed award arrangements.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement across tax processes. Collaborate closely with the Tax team, Finance, IT and the Shared Service Centre to streamline workflows and leverage automation opportunities.
- Regulatory Change & Compliance: Monitor and interpret new tax legislation and regulatory developments. Assess business impact, communicate requirements clearly and ensure timely, compliant implementation while optimising the tax position.
About you:
- Professional tax qualification
- Membership in a recognized Chartered Institute
- Strong technical and commercial tax knowledge of UK corporation tax
- Practical experience of corporation tax compliance and tax reporting (US GAAP preferred)
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Progressive tax experience in a corporation tax role.
