The Mortgage Completions Specialist plays a vital role in progressing mortgage applications from offer through to completion. You’ll be a key point of contact for conveyancers, brokers, and internal teams, helping manage post-offer queries, ensuring the required documentation is received, and supporting the timely release of funds.
Your focus will be on delivering a smooth, accurate, and customer-focused completions journey, in line with internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
This is a London-based role, working closely with our Treasury team to ensure a strong operational partnership between completions and funding activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Completions Process Management
- Manage and progress post-offer mortgage cases through to completion.
- Liaise with conveyancers to resolve outstanding requirements or legal queries.
- Respond to post-offer queries from brokers and customers, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Ensure all required documentation is in place before completion, including signed mortgage deeds and certificate of title.
- Coordinate with Treasury to facilitate the release of funds in line with drawdown schedules.
Risk & Compliance Checks
- Conduct final stage checks to confirm all offer conditions have been satisfied before drawdown.
- Flag and elevate potential issues or concerns around documentation, funding, or conveyancer performance.
- Adhere to internal and regulatory controls, maintaining data accuracy and audit readiness.
- Work towards agreed business and team KPIs, including turnaround times and service level targets from offer to completion.
- Participate in process reviews and flag areas for improvement or recurring issues where appropriate.
- Work effectively with colleagues across Operations, Risk, and Compliance to ensure smooth case progression.
