Your impact: You’ll lead the acquisition of new customers in the UK for the SME segment. Our market share in the UK is growing fast and your team directly drives this growth. The UK market is a top priority for Mollie and the recently announced acquisition of GoCardless will significantly accelerate our growth further. You’ll build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team, guiding them to identify prospects, creatively showcase our product's value, and close deals. You’ll report to our Head of Sales UK, collaborating closely with local and central teams.
As a sales leader, you’ll inspire and motivate sales talent to hunt for prospects and creatively leverage our outstanding product to meet client needs. You will own the localised sales strategy and execute go-to-market plans for new products, ensuring our success in this key market. Your ability to lead the team makes this role essential to Mollie’s expansion mission.
What you’ll ship:
- Build, lead and coach an exceptionally high-performing and highly motivated sales team in the UK.
- Define and implement a clear, localised sales strategy aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
- Build and nurture strong, strategic client relationships, with you acting as the lead negotiator on key business deals.
- Collect actionable customer feedback and market insights that meaningfully influence product and go-to-market strategy.
- Provide insight-driven sales reporting, forecasting, and performance improvements that support organisational decision-making.
- Be a strong public presence for Mollie through impactful representation at PR events and speaking engagements.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in sales, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven track record of achieving sales quotas, both individually and through team performance.
- Strong leadership skills, with the capacity to guide, inspire, and motivate high performing sales teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships, particularly with C-Level stakeholders.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of representing Mollie internally and externally.
- Fluent in English.
