The Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands‑on role perfect for an engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of industrial mechanical systems, with a specific focus on fuel infrastructure (pumps, tanks, and pipework).

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Maintenance: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on fuel pumps, storage tanks, and associated pipework.
  • Fault Finding: Diagnose mechanical issues efficiently to minimise downtime for our critical clients.
  • Project Work: Assist in the installation of new fuel management systems and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out to high safety standards (including MoD and industry‑specific regulations) and complete necessary documentation accurately.
  • Travel: Travel to client sites across Scotland (company vehicle provided).

About You

Essential

  • Time‑served apprenticeship or relevant qualification (HNC/HND) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Full UK Driving License (Essential).

  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.

Desirable (Training can be provided)

  • Experience with fuel pumps, hydraulics, or pneumatic systems.
  • SPA Passport / CSCS Card.
  • COMPEX or OFTEC certifications.
