The Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curiousSoftware Developerto join our team in a new and unique role focused oninnovation and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for arecent MA graduateor early-career technologist with strong academic grounding inArtificial Intelligence (AI),Machine Learning (ML), andmodern software development techniques. The role will work across Film, TV, Games, and Ads to turn small problems into creative solutions.
Sittingoutside the core development team, this role is designed to act as an internal consultant and creative technologist, working across departments to uncover inefficiencies and identify opportunities forautomation, augmentation, and transformationthrough the smart application of technology.
You will report directly to theCTOand maintain adotted-line relationship with the CCO, giving you direct access to strategic decision-making and operational priorities. This unique structure is intended to accelerate the process oftech-enablingthe business and building a culture of innovation from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, scope, and deliver innovative software solutions to improve operational workflows and business processes.
- Use a combination of AI/ML, scripting, and traditional development methods to build prototypes and production-ready tools.
- Conduct internal discovery across business units to identify pain points and areas for efficiency gains.
- Build lightweight applications, automations, or scripts that reduce manual work and enable smarter decision-making.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party tools or APIs where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with teams across departments, while maintaining autonomy and ownership over your projects.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in AI, ML, automation, and low-code/no-code platforms.
- Document solutions and provide basic training/support to end users.

- Talk with artists, producers, and operators to spot friction.
- Prototype in days and ship small tools that remove steps.
- Mix innovative models with scripts and simple apps.
- Use APIs to connect with the tools our teams already use.
- Share short demos and clear docs so people adopt your work.
What will you bring?
- Portfolio with two or three small tools or prototypes.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- You enjoy interviews and workshops and can explain ideas in plain language.

- Curiosity and a bias to ship/launch internally.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education & Background:
- MA (or MSc) in Computer Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with a portfolio of innovative or academic projects.
Technical Skills:
- Exposure to or experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Understanding of API development and integration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Interest in RPA (Robotic Process Automation), data analytics, or low-code/no-code tools a bonus.
Soft Skills:
- Creative problem-solver with a passion for finding “out-of-the-box” solutions.
