We are looking for new candidates to join our ever-growing team! Our ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented/experienced Mechanic Electrician. The ideal candidate must be capable of running jobs with minimal supervision and ensuring that electrical work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with NEC codes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and job specifications.
  • NEC Code Compliance: Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
  • Job Leadership: Ability to manage small crews, delegate tasks, and ensure work is completed per schedule.
  • Material Knowledge: Familiarity with MC cable, conduit bending (EMT, PVC, rigid), wire pulling, panel terminations, and lighting installations.
  • Troubleshooting: Capable of diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, including motor controls, lighting circuits, and power distribution.
  • Safety Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to enforce job site safety practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute rough-in and finish work on commercial projects.
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting, HVAC wiring, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure proper grounding and strapping of conduit and wiring per code.
  • Manage material inventory for assigned jobs and coordinate with project managers.
  • Work closely with apprentices and helpers, providing training as needed.
  • Perform quality control checks on installations before inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and general contractors regarding job progress.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in elevated spaces (ladders, lifts).
  • Must provide basic hand tools (meter, strippers, screwdrivers, etc.).
  • Availability to work 40+ hours per week, with occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Prior experience in project-based electrical work such as kitchen build-outs, brewery installations, or commercial rough-ins.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
