The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the seamless management of the supply chain process, from raw material purchase to finished product distribution. This role requires the management of procurement, inventory, logistics, shipping, and distribution, while ensuring compliance with export regulations and maintaining high service levels for global customers. The Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible for the leadership of a high performing team through motivation and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain operations from procurement to delivery, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Collaborate with the production and sales teams to forecast demand and align inventory levels. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across the supply chain.
  • Export Management: Oversee the export process, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of products. Manage relationships with freight forwarders and other third-party logistics providers. Ensure compliance with export laws, international trade regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Procurement & Supplier Management: Work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components to meet production schedules. Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to optimize cost-effectiveness and quality standards. Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues regarding delivery, quality, or service levels.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management, including raw materials, WIP, and finished products. Implement effective stock control measures to minimize excess inventory while ensuring product availability. Conduct regular stock audits.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Manage the logistics of goods movement, including transportation scheduling, warehousing (on site and 3PL), and distribution. Ensure timely coordination between production schedules and shipping deadlines to meet customer expectations. Address any shipping delays or issues, working proactively with internal and external partners.
  • Team Management & Leadership: Lead, mentor, coach and develop the supply chain team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Foster a collaborative working environment between cross-functional teams (sales, production finance, quality) to meet supply chain goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve team efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in supply chain management, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of export regulations and international trade procedures. Proven track record of successfully managing supply chains in a manufacturing company.
  • Education: Degree educated or equivalent work experience.
  • Skills: In-depth understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Strong communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and external partners. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Additional Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing and multiple priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving supply chain issues. A keen understanding of the global logistics network, customs procedures, and international shipping requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ISO, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CIPS) are advantageous. Flexible working with the option to work 1-2 days on a hybrid basis.
