Join Molecular Devices – an operating company of Danaher – as a Field Service Engineer (UK North). In this role you will deliver professional field service support for our products across the UK and Scotland, performing installations, repairs and preventative maintenance in line with agreed service levels.
Responsibilities
- Become proficient in the support of our world‑class products and provide consistent, world‑class services and support to customers.
- Handle customer service inquiries, repairs, installations, preventative maintenance and OQ schedules.
- Support customers in fast‑tracking scientific discoveries, helping to drive advanced disease detection, drug discovery and therapeutic development.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of industry‑relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical, electronics and electrical skills with knowledge of assembly‑level fault detection and testing (instrument‑specific training will be provided).
- Customer‑focused, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently, taking ownership of issues from beginning to end.
Travel & Physical Requirements
- Minimum 80% travel, including regular overnight trips within the UK and Ireland.
- Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.
Desirable Experience
- IT, computer and network management.
- Cellular imaging products diagnostics and repairs.
- Experience working in a lab environment.
