We’re looking for a reliable and customer-focused Yard Assistant / Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a dual role where you’ll represent Mole Country Stores both on the road and in the yard, delivering goods safely and efficiently, while supporting warehouse operations and contributing to a positive customer experience.

About The Role
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Full-time
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: Working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with one Monday in two starting at 07:30 to meet the needs of our customer and finishing at 16:30.
As a Yard Team Member / Delivery Driver, you’ll play a key part in ensuring goods are delivered accurately and on time, while also assisting with stock handling and yard presentation. You’ll work closely with the Yard Manager and wider team to maintain high standards and uphold our values.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering goods to customers safely and efficiently
- Ensuring delivery instructions match loaded items
- Maintaining a clean, well-presented vehicle and completing daily checks
- Complying with VOSA tachograph driver hours and reporting defects
- Responding to customer queries professionally
- Assisting with goods inwards, unloading deliveries, and stock rotation
- Picking and checking orders for delivery
- Supporting health and safety procedures and maintaining external areas
About You
- Experience in delivery, yard, or warehouse environments
- Good knowledge of the local area (beneficial)
- Minimum Class 2 Licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Forklift Truck Licence
- Strong IT skills and good organisational/time management
- First Aid training (advantageous)
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
