We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role
- Contract: Temporary
- Hours: Full-time
- Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, working on a rota basis
As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard
- Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently
- Supporting Point of Sale operations when required
- Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation
- Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews
- Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity
- Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations
About You
- Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred)
- Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial)
- A forklift truck licence (advantageous)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
- Good IT skills and confidence using systems
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
You’ll be friendly, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and working as part of a team.
