We’re looking for an organised and proactive Merchandise Planning Assistant to join our Commercial team. If you enjoy planning ahead, working with data, and building strong relationships, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact. This role offers variety and the chance to work closely with suppliers, product managers, and store teams to ensure products are available when customers need them.
About The Role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per week
As a Merchandise Planning Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting stock and sales performance across multiple categories. Your work will help ensure our customers receive the best possible experience across our retail stores and online platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and analysing stock replenishment orders
- Placing product orders, prioritising, and chasing deliveries
- Monitoring stock levels and taking corrective action where needed
- Forecasting future stock requirements and planning for seasonal performance
- Collaborating with suppliers, product managers, and store teams
- Running reports and presenting performance insights
- Supporting promotional activities and marketing campaigns
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
- Retail experience is an advantage
- Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong numerical skills and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Highly organised and deadline-driven
- Adaptable and proactive, comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Inclusive, approachable, and a collaborative team player
