We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Industrial Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Mole Valley Farmers. About The Role
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Full time
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
As an Industrial Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of mechanical maintenance and engineering across our plant and equipment. You’ll diagnose and repair faults, deliver planned maintenance, and support projects that improve efficiency and safety. Working in a heavy manufacturing environment that can be dusty and noisy, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted feed production for our farming customers.
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining and repairing plant and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and routine servicing
- Supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Reading and interpreting site drawings and project information
- Collaborating with colleagues to solve problems and share knowledge
- Promoting a strong safety culture and compliance with regulations
About You
- Previous experience in heavy manufacturing or similar environments (e.g., quarry works)
- Familiarity with conveying systems (screw conveyors, chain & flight conveyors, belt bucket elevators) and pneumatic systems
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety
- Good IT and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented
- Able to carry out tasks in a dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environment (reasonable adjustments available)
