We’re looking for a confident, customer-focused, and commercially minded individual to join our team as a Retail Manager. If you’re passionate about leading people, delivering great service, and supporting rural communities, we’d love to hear from you.
About The Role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per week
As Retail Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the Customer Experience Team and supporting the day-to-day running of the store. You’ll help drive commercial performance, build strong customer relationships, and ensure the store is a welcoming, well-presented, and solution-focused environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the Customer Experience Team to deliver excellent service and product knowledge
- Supporting store operations including merchandising, promotions, and compliance
- Building strong relationships with customers and identifying opportunities to grow sales and membership
- Analysing business data to inform decisions and drive performance
- Deputising for the Store Manager and contributing to store leadership
- Supporting the store to achieve KPIs including basket spend, membership conversion, and customer satisfaction
- Promoting our products, services, and membership scheme to drive loyalty and engagement
- Maintaining high standards of store presentation and product availability
About You
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a retail or customer-facing environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Good IT skills and confidence using business systems
- Knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and retail operations
- A proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused approach
- AMTRA, BASIS, or knowledge of FIAS/UFAS/NOPS (desirable)
- NVQ or equivalent in retail (desirable)
