You will be responsible for dealing with general housing enquiries at the Council offices in person, on the telephone and via letter and email and be part of the out of hour’s homelessness duty telephone rota. In addition you will undertake tenancy sign ups and check outs for our emergency homeless accommodation within the district. About You You should ideally have experience in housing and experience of dealing with the public in a housing capacity. You must be able to work well as a team although you will often be out of the office working on your own conducting home visits and attending meetings . Good interpersonal skills are essential in this role in order to work confidently and sensitively with households in often difficult situations as well as with other agencies attempting to resolve clients housing situations. For you Hybrid working with flexibility We’re less about you driving to work and more about driving down our carbon footprint (meeting our pledge to be carbon neutral by 2030). Our hybrid working policy offers many employees the opportunity to work from home up to three days a week should they wish (pro rata for part time working).
