- This is a full-time, remote opportunity for experienced engineers based in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden, or Israel. We also welcome contractors in Eastern Europe and Portugal.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale backend services and high-throughput data pipelines.
- Contribute significantly to shaping the long-term technical direction of our platform.
- Assume system ownership, driving architectural decisions and leading technical initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Champion best practices in data engineering, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within production environments.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience architecting high-load systems or complex data pipelines in a production setting.
- Profound expertise in distributed systems, utilizing modern programming languages such as Go, Java, Rust, or Python.
- Extensive hands-on experience with both relational and analytical databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL and ClickHouse.
- Demonstrated proficiency with microservices architecture, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding and practical application of modern DevOps practices, including GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- A proven ability to balance hands-on coding with strategic architectural leadership.
