1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants CNC Programmer/Machinist Location: Innovent – Wakefield, MA Innovent is seeking a talented CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team! In this role, you’ll handle programming, operating, and troubleshooting for 2 milling machines and 2 wire EDM machines. You’ll play a key part in producing precision parts and collaborating with engineering to improve processes. What You’ll Do Review drawings and specifications to determine cutting methods, tools, materials, and production steps Generate cutting programs from CAD files Perform machining operations and monitor production for accuracy and quality Problem solve to decrease cycle times and improve setups Consult with engineering on design for manufacturing Stay up-to-date with new machining techniques and equipment Work with the machine shop team, including tooling, inspection, and assembly Safely run and maintain machines, troubleshoot issues, and assist in machine maintenance Inspect finished pieces with calibrated measuring tools Keep work areas clean and organized Help operators with setups and troubleshooting Contribute to CNC production performance and assist with scheduling Perform other tasks as needed, including assembly, maintenance, and tooling What You’ll Bring High School diploma or GED 3+ years’ experience as a machinist, with CAM programming and troubleshooting 1+ years of MasterCam experience (or willingness to learn quickly) Trade school certificate or degree in CNC machining and programming (preferred) What We Value Detail-oriented, organized, and a positive attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of shop math and material properties Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning Mechanical aptitude and solid computer/software skills Dependable, flexible, with good attendance and time management Able to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor Able to lift between 10 and 50 pounds Always adhere to safety policies and wear required PPE What We Offer Anthem Blue Cross Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance day one 401(k) with company match Weekly pay Production incentives Company-paid life insurance Tuition reimbursement Scholarship program for your family Why Work at Innovent?
