MOKSHA Indian Restaurant & Bar is seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Indian cuisine, particularly in preparing authentic tandoori dishes. This role involves overseeing the preparation and cooking of traditional tandoori items, ensuring high-quality standards, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The successful applicant will have strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently while inspiring team members. This position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase culinary expertise within a vibrant hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of authentic tandoori dishes, including meats, vegetables, and bread, adhering to traditional recipes and presentation standards.
  • Supervise food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee food preparation activities, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
  • Assist in menu development by suggesting new tandoori recipes and improving existing dishes.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages.
  • Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
