Mokoro is a not-for-profit international development consultancy working globally across sectors such as climate, land and natural resources, food security, nutrition, education, and social protection. We are looking for a Business Development Coordinator to help grow and strengthen our portfolio of high-quality consultancy work.
This is a varied and hands-on role within our small and collaborative office team. You will lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, working closely with colleagues, consultants and partners to develop strong proposals and competitive tenders.
You will play a key role in shaping Mokoro’s pipeline of work, coordinating proposal development, and ensuring submissions are high quality, responsive and aligned with our strategic priorities.The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships across Mokoro’s networks. This includes engaging with new consultants, sustaining relationships with existing Associates, and working closely with clients and delivery partners to support successful bids and ongoing collaboration.
Alongside core business development responsibilities, you will contribute to business systems and processes, helping strengthen how Mokoro identifies opportunities and develops its portfolio.
We’re looking for someone that:
- Has strong experience in business development, including bid writing and responding to competitive tenders
- Is highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Is confident working with a range of stakeholders, including consultants, partners and clients across different locations
- Has an interest in international development and global issues
- Brings strong communication skills and a collaborative, relationship-focused approach
This role is suited to an experienced business development professional looking to take on a broad and hands-on role within a values-driven consultancy.
