The Business Development Coordinator is part of Mokoro’s small, collaborative Business Support team, with responsibility for leading business development activities across the consultancy portfolio. The role requires strong coordination, writing and relationship management skills, alongside the ability to identify opportunities, develop high-quality proposals, and strengthen Mokoro’s networks and partnerships.

Job activities:

  • Coordinate the identification and pursuit of relevant business opportunities aligned with Mokoro’s strategic priorities
  • Coordinate the preparation of competitive tenders and proposals, including drafting high-quality submissions and coordinating inputs from colleagues and partners
  • Develop assignment budgets as part of proposal preparation, ensuring alignment with company practice and financial targets
  • Build and maintain Mokoro’s network of consultants, including identifying and engaging with new consultants and nurturing relationships with existing Principal Consultants and Associates to support current and future opportunities
  • Develop and manage relationships with clients and delivery partners, including existing consortium partners, to support successful bids and ongoing collaboration
  • Represent Mokoro in external meetings, events and engagements with partners and clients
  • Maintain and improve business development systems and processes, including the consultant database
  • Promote effective use of tools and innovation to enhance proposal development processes
