Meet the Protection Sales Team
We’re a growing team of 20 dedicated Protection Advisors, led by two experienced Sales Managers. Backed by a vibrant culture and a clear sense of purpose, we’re focused on delivering the right protection solutions for every client.
Our work spans Life Insurance, Income Protection, Critical Illness Cover, and Family Income Benefit. With access to a large panel of providers, we tailor each recommendation to suit individual needs—no off-the-shelf policies here.
All our leads come exclusively from our 70 Mortgage Advisors, so we’re always speaking to customers who are already engaged and open to advice. We collaborate closely, move quickly, and support each other every step of the way—making protection simple, personal, and effective.
How we work
We keep things flexible but structured to make sure we’re there when our customers need us.
Our Protection Advisors work a 39 hour week, on 3 shift patterns to align with our opening hours and a 1 hour lunch break. You will have a set weekly rota made up of the below shifts. (Usually 2 Early shifts and 1 x Mid , 1x Late)
- Early – 9am-6pm
- Mid – 10am-7pm
- Late- 11am-8pm
- Fridays – 9-4.30 (30 minute lunch break)
Our team don\’t work saturday right now, but we are a growing business so never say never!
We keep it fair, balanced, and always aim to work smarter—not longer.
What will you be doing?
- Picking up live transfers and pre-booked calls from our fantastic team of Mortgage Advisors
- Arranging protection reviews with our customers both new and existing, by contacting them and helping them to recognise the need for protection products.
- Conducting in-depth reviews of customers protection needs, especially in relation to protecting their mortgage, by exploring current provision and agreeing future aims.
- Provide advice and recommend the best protection products for the customers personal circumstances.
- Be a wealth of knowledge on the protection marketplace (income protection, life cover and critical illness) so you can ensure the customer gets the right products at the best price.
- Complete Insurance applications and medical questionnaires
- Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation
- Producing insurance quotes and issuing policy documentation and Liaising with underwriters to ensure the best possible outcome for the client.
What do we need from you?
- A minimum of 2 years previous experience in an advised Protection role with knowledge of income protection, life cover and critical illness products.
- CeMAP, CertPro or R05 – or a willingness to work towards and achieve this in your first 3 months of employment (self-funded).
- You’ll need to have whole of market (WOM) or large panel experience
- Strong verbal and listening communication skills is essential
