Are you a high-energy sales leader who excels at driving performance and closing? We are looking for a Sales Manager to lead, scale, and inspire our UK sales team. Unlike traditional sales roles that require heavy cold prospecting, this position focuses on conversion and execution. You will lead a squad of 4–5 Business Development Managers and Digital Strategists who inherit a high volume of leads generated at scale by our centralized Lead Gen department. Your mission is to ensure every lead is maximized, every strategist is coached to perfection, and the team consistently hits its revenue targets through rigorous performance management.
Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Coaching: Drive a high-performance culture across your team of BDMs and Digital Strategists to ensure hit-rates and conversion metrics are met. Conduct regular 1-to-1s and live call coaching sessions to sharpen the team’s ability to move leads through the funnel. Build structured career paths for your team, focusing on advanced closing techniques and strategic account management.
- Strategy & Execution: Conversion Optimization: Refine the UK 'Go-To-Market' execution by identifying where leads drop off and implementing strategies to improve win rates. Value Proposition: Continuously iterate on our UK-specific messaging to ensure the team is effectively communicating our ROI to warm prospects. Sales Velocity: Focus on reducing the sales cycle length through better objection handling and structured follow-up sequences.
- Pipeline & Process Management: Funnel Hygiene: Maintain a rigorous overview of the UK sales funnel, ensuring the team moves leads through the CRM with accuracy. Forecasting: Provide leadership with data-backed revenue forecasts based on the high-scale lead flow provided to your team. Process Refinement: Identify and fix bottlenecks in the closing process, whether through adjusting scripts or adopting new sales enablement tools.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Feedback Loops: Work closely with the Lead Generation and Marketing teams to provide feedback on lead quality and market sentiment. Product Alignment: Ensure the sales team is aligned with the wider business roadmap and can effectively pitch new features as they launch.
Qualifications
- Conversion-Led Leadership: Proven experience managing a B2B sales team in a high-velocity environment where leads are provided.
- Coaching Excellence: You are a 'player-coach' who thrives on the floor, helping team members refine their pitch and overcome objections.
- Data Literacy: You understand how to read conversion data to spot performance gaps before they become problems.
- Execution Focus: You prefer 'doing and improving' over 'hunting and searching.' You know how to build a machine that closes.
- Collaborative Spirit: You can work effectively with the teams providing your 'fuel' (the leads) to ensure long-term success.
Pay range and compensation package: £40-43K base & £30-35K Commissions. Additional tiered commission structure on milestones. £70-80K OTE
