Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our restaurant with passion, precision, and purpose. You’ll be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, financial performance, and maintaining the highest service standards. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll inspire and guide a talented team, maintain exceptional service, and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2-3 years’ general management experience in a premium, large‑scale, high‑end, fast‑paced restaurant, preferably in London
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills – a motivating and supportive presence
  • Strong financial acumen and proven success in managing budgets, P&L, and cost controls
  • In‑depth knowledge of food & beverage operations and a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Proficiency in restaurant management systems (POS, reservations, scheduling tools)
  • Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, solutions‑driven approach
  • Calm under pressure, warm, and guest‑focused

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee daily operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and profitability.
    • Collaborate with the Head Chef, Head of Restaurants and Reservations Manager to ensure alignment of food and drink offerings with MOI’s vision.
    • Ensure compliance with UK health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
    • Use performance data to make informed decisions that increase revenue and reduce waste.
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage budgets and P&L statements.
    • Control labour, food, and beverage costs.
    • Analyse performance metrics and implement strategies to drive revenue and manage expenditure.
  • Team Development
    • Lead by example to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor team members.
    • Conduct regular meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
    • Promote a workplace culture based on inclusivity, accountability, and continuous growth.
  • Guest Experience
    • Build relationships with guests, address concerns promptly, and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience.
    • Ensure consistent, high‑quality service at every touchpoint.
    • Represent MOI at industry events and networking opportunities.
