As a globally recognised partner for premium spice blends and raw spices, we enrich a diverse range of foods and dishes every day. We are a family‑owned business producing food of the highest quality in one of the most modern food manufacturing facilities in Europe. Our customers span the entire food industry.
To strengthen our dedicated team at our Hetton‑le‑Hole site, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager.
Your tasks include:
- Lead and develop the site Quality team, covering Quality Control and Hygiene
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety legislation and standards
- Manage non‑conformances, complaints, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement
- Oversee environmental monitoring and pest control systems
- Support and maintain robust document control and product specifications
- Collaborate closely with Production on quality and technical matters
- Provide technical support to Product Development and Sales teams
- Support and maintain certification standards (e.g. BRCGS, Organic, Kosher, Halal)
- Participate in internal and external audits, including customer audits
- Manage export documentation and liaise with relevant authorities where required
- Drive improvements in quality systems, including digitalisation of documentation
- Build strong relationships with other Moguntia Food Group sites (Germany & Austria)
What you bring with you:
- Several years of experience in a Quality/Technical role within the food industry
- Solid knowledge of food safety standards and quality management systems (e.g. HACCP)
- Experience with audits and certification processes
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a structured, analytical mindset
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop people
