To strengthen our dedicated team at our Hetton-le-Hole site, we are looking for a Hygiene Manager. The MMM begins with you: Join a team that brings together tradition and innovation – and let your passion for food lead the way.

Your tasks include:

  • Lead and develop the Hygiene Team
  • Ensure and continuously improve hygiene and cleaning standards
  • Plan and manage cleaning schedules and hygiene activities
  • Ensure food safety and compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, and customer standards
  • Support and lead audits; investigate and close non‑conformances
  • Monitor and validate cleaning effectiveness (e.g. ATP, allergen, and microbiological testing)
  • Ensure health & safety compliance (e.g. COSHH)
  • Manage resources, costs, and external contractors
  • Promote a strong food safety and hygiene culture
  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and sustainability initiatives

What you bring with you:

  • 10+ years’ experience in hygiene management within the food industry, ideally in high‑risk environments
  • HACCP Level 3 minimum (Level 4 desirable)
  • Food Safety Level 3 minimum (Level 4 desirable)
  • COSHH training
