Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as a leader in this field. We are seeking a Paralegal to join our Legal team. The Paralegal will provide legal assistance to corporate lawyers and contractual support to internal project teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between company lawyers, outside counsel, and clients.
  • Provide daily legal support for internal project teams, particularly within our Spanish entity, and support other company entities as needed.
  • Assemble, proofread, and edit drafts of contracts, licenses, and legal documents.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with relevant authorities.
  • Review contracts and legal documents received in Spanish for English-speaking lawyers and employees.
  • Advise on Spanish public procurement regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct research on projects as directed by corporate lawyers.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist in analyzing legal documents internally.
  • Compile data from trusted legal resources.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Law; a master's in Public Procurement is desirable.
  • Experience in a law office or as an in-house lawyer.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English.
  • Knowledge of Spanish public procurement regulations and online platforms for submitting public offers is essential.
  • Proficiency with office automation software.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check in compliance with NIST 800-171.

Working Conditions: Primarily sedentary work, interacting with clients, with occasional travel.
