Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for an Entry-Level CAD Technician to join our Farnham offices. As part of the CAD Group, the Entry-Level CAD Technician will develop drawings using AutoCAD for use in planning, reports, and construction documents on Civil, Port, Maritime, and Infrastructure Engineering projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations such as cargo terminals, marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls, and coastal structures (beaches, revetments, breakwaters, and jetties) as well as other civil engineering projects.
- Compute volumes of excavations and fill for dredging and earthmoving projects.
- Assist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages.
Qualifications:
- A Levels in Mathematics, essential.
- Other desired grades in Computing and Design.
- 0 to 2 years of working experience.
- UK Citizenship or Residency required; position is not available for sponsorship.
- Fluent in English.
- Communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
Working Conditions:
- Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
