CAD Technician - Entry Level

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for an Entry-Level CAD Technician to join our Farnham offices. As part of the CAD Group, the Entry-LevelCAD Technician will develop drawings using AutoCAD for use in planning, reports, and construction documents on Civil, Port, Maritime, and Infrastructure Engineering projects.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations such as cargo terminals, marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls and coastal structures (beaches, revetments, breakwaters and jetties) as well as other civil engineering projects
• Compute volumes of excavations and fill for dredging and earthmoving projects
• Assist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages

Qualifications:

• A Levels in Mathematics, essential
• Other desired grades in Computing and Design
• 0 to 2 year of working experience
• UK Citizenship or Residency required; position is not available for sponsorship
• Communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Working conditions:

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
