Overview Of The Industrials Team

The EMEA Industrials team at Moelis & Company provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients across EMEA. Led by senior bankers with extensive experience across the sector, the team advises a diverse range of industrial companies, including those in manufacturing, transportation, building products, capital goods, automotive, and engineered systems. Our team combines deep sector expertise with a global perspective to support clients through an era of industrial transformation, shaped by supply chain realignment, technological innovation, sustainability initiatives, and evolving regulatory frameworks. We deliver tailored advice across M&A, capital raising, and restructuring situations, helping our clients achieve long-term strategic and financial goals.

Position Description

Moelis & Company’s Associates are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, leadership and analytical aptitude. The day-to-day responsibilities of an Associate include financial analysis and modeling, managing a team, preparing client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients. A sophisticated level of interpersonal skill is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-depth quantitative financial analysis as it pertains to business, industry and economic forecasting.
• Identifies emerging market trends and regulatory changes within the investment and advisory domains and develops strategies to secure investment opportunities and expand the firm's presence within the market.
• Constructs financial models, company valuations and merger & acquisition transaction comparisons based on research findings and client analysis.
• Interprets data concerning price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks and economic influences relevant to investments.
• Assists in the preparation of offering memoranda, transaction-related documentation and client presentations.
• Gathers industry, regulatory, and economic information, company financial statements, financial periodicals and publications in order to extract relevant data on financial histories for the forecasting of future potentials.

Required Skills & Experience

• Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyze and value businesses.
• Some experience in Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) or equivalent is essential.
• Results driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
• Proven team player who is able to effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office suite (Excel a must) and financial reporting skills.

Education

Undergraduate degree; focus in finance, business, accounting, economics or mathematics is preferred.
