Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and help explain historical and projected financial information specifically as it relates to software companies.
- Construct sophisticated financial models, particularly for recurring revenue model businesses.
- Perform company valuations and merger & acquisition transaction comparisons based on research findings and client analysis.
- Lead the preparation of materials to support a high velocity of interactions between the Moelis Technology investment banking team with companies and investors across the technology ecosystem.
- Assist in the preparation of information memoranda, transaction-related documentation, and client presentations.
- Perform in-depth quantitative financial analysis as it pertains to business, industry, and economic forecasting.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong academic track record.
- 3-4 years of investment banking experience within an Industrials M&A team.
- A solid understanding of the sell-side M&A process, along with proven experience in successfully executing deals (prior experience advising financial sponsors will be viewed positively).
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities (customer cube analysis and ARR snowballs, operating models, LBO, DCF analysis).
- Fundamental understanding of accounting and financial valuation methodologies; ability to analyze and value businesses.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
- Independent thinker and resourceful problem solver.
- Results driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
- Proven team player who is able to effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office suite (outstanding Excel skills a must) and financial reporting skills.
- Ability to leverage modern productivity and AI tools.
