ModuSpec first introduced the concept of drilling rig inspection to the market in 1986 and since then has been providing unrivalled intake & inspection services for drilling rigs and vessels involved in the upstream oil & gas and renewables industry, including Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) performance services. We provide assurance and technical advice that supports the improvement of operations, including the performance and compliance of equipment, the competency of the people and robustness of the HSEQ management systems in place. We mobilise discipline specific field specialists around the globe to drilling rigs and vessels onshore and offshore for short and long-term projects with our clients. The contracts will be delivered on behalf of our Aberdeen office primarily servicing Europe & Africa region, however other global locations may apply.
Job purpose: The role will be responsible for supporting our global operations in all aspects related to HSEQ excellence thus ensuring safe and efficient project delivery. It will support and advise business areas to deliver improved HSEQ compliance and performance, in line with company and client expectations.
Key responsibilities and requirements:
- Adhering to and supporting Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
- Planning and conducting QHSE internal audits.
- Planning, preparing and chairing the management review.
- Keeping the NCR log up-to-date and ensuring they are closed in a timely manner.
- Ensuring the action tracker is up-to-date and actions are closed accordingly.
- Ensuring evaluation of compliance is conducted.
- Updating the data for QHSE objectives.
- Ensuring aspect and impact register is up-to-date.
- Ensuring company is aware of any legislation changes that affect them – also updating the legal register.
- Ensuring any interested parties needs and expectations are known.
- Ensuring the SWOT/PESTEL/risk register is populated with up-to-date information and actions are managed.
- Ensuring procedures/processes/manuals/policies/forms are up-to-date and revised as required.
- Travel globally (onshore and offshore) with valid basic offshore safety induction and emergency (BOSIET) training.
- Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (NGC).
- Attained International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) Lead Auditor certification.
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis qualification.
- Have membership of a related professional body and evidence of continuous development.
- Hold a strong functional working knowledge of a spectrum of international standards and industry best practice, ISO, API, etc, including industry best practices (Drops Online, OEUK, IOGP).
- Experience with training and competency management systems.
- Experience working for or with major oil and gas companies.
- Previous experience working in an operational environment including offshore.
- Past documented performance history performing audits and/or other technically related services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (proficient in use of Microsoft office).
