We are recruiting on behalf of a growing financial planning firm for a Paraplanner to join their team based in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of financial planning and wants to play a key role in supporting advisers and delivering positive client outcomes. You'll work closely with advisers, compliance teams and clients, helping to turn complex financial planning recommendations into clear and client-friendly advice. The role offers a varied workload, exposure to market-leading technology and the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the business.

Key Paraplanner Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting research and preparing suitability reports for new and existing clients.
  • Producing accurate, compliant and client-focused documentation.
  • Supporting advisers with technical research and portfolio analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate client records across systems and platforms.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory and industry changes.
  • Supporting file checking and compliance processes.
  • Acting as a technical support point for advisers and colleagues.
  • Contributing to process improvements and best practice across the business.
  • Building positive relationships with clients, colleagues and third-party providers.
  • Using tools such as Voyant, Timeline, Intelliflo and FE Analytics to support client planning.

The Paraplanner Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have previous paraplanning experience within a financial planning or wealth management environment and be confident working in a technical support role. You will also have:

  • Level 4 qualified, Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • A proactive and team-focused approach.

Desirable Experience:

  • Chartered QCF level 6 in Financial Planning
  • Knowledge of systems such as Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, Adviser Asset, Defaqto, Timeline, Voyant and Moneyinfo.
  • Experience supporting advisers with technical research and client recommendations.
