An award-winning Legal 500-ranked law firm is looking to appoint a Private Client Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Wills, Probate & Estate Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client lawyer looking to take the next step within a growing and ambitious team. You'll advise a broad range of private individuals, families and business owners on complex estate planning matters while playing an active role in mentoring junior colleagues and helping shape the future growth of the department.
Alongside managing high-quality work, you'll have the opportunity to build lasting client relationships, contribute to business development and become an integral part of a collaborative and forward-thinking practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied caseload of private client matters from instruction through to completion
- Advising clients on wills, estate planning and succession matters
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Administering both taxable and non-taxable estates
- Advising on trusts, estate structures and post-death planning
- Drafting Deeds of Variation and supporting wider estate planning strategies
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team
- Developing client relationships and contributing to networking and business development initiatives

You’ll ideally have:
- Significant experience across private client law
- Strong knowledge of wills, probate, trusts and estate planning
- Experience administering both taxable and non-taxable estates
- Excellent drafting and technical skills
- A commercial approach with strong relationship-building ability
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
- STEP qualified or currently working towards STEP accreditation (preferred)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, collaborative and client-focused approach
