An award-winning Legal 500-ranked law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its highly regarded Wills, Probate & Estate Planning team in Maidenhead.

The firm is open to appointing at either Senior Associate or Salaried Partner level, making this an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Associate looking to take the next step in their career or an existing Salaried Partner seeking a fresh challenge within a progressive and growing practice.

Working as part of an established and collaborative team, you will advise high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on a broad range of private client matters while taking an active role in mentoring colleagues, developing client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the department across the Maidenhead and Windsor offices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of high-quality private client matters from instruction through to completion
  • Advising clients on wills, estate planning, trusts and succession planning
  • Administering both taxable and non-taxable estates
  • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Advising high-net-worth individuals on inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation
  • Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers and support staff
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and professional introducers
  • Supporting business development initiatives and helping grow the firm's private client presence across the region
  • Contributing to the continued success and strategic development of the department

The Private Client Solicitor Candidate

We are looking for an experienced private client lawyer who combines excellent technical ability with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years' PQE in Private Client law
  • Significant experience advising on wills, probate, trusts and estate planning
  • Strong technical knowledge of inheritance tax, succession planning and wealth preservation
  • Experience acting for high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners
  • STEP qualified or currently working towards STEP accreditation
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A commercial approach with an interest in business development and networking
  • A collaborative, proactive and client-focused attitude
