We’re looking for a hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site in West Sussex! You’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of production equipment. You’ll play a key part in keeping the factory running efficiently, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and reliably. This is a Full-Time, Permanent position with opportunities for training and career development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment
- Maintain and repair machinery including plastic extrusion lines, cooling and haul-off systems, cutting and punching machines, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, PLCs, and other manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose faults and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues quickly and safely
- Support new machinery installations, upgrades, and commissioning projects
- Minimise downtime and ensure all equipment runs safely and reliably
- Keep accurate service records and report maintenance activities
- Work closely with the engineering team to improve efficiency and reliability
Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:30am-8:00pm
Pay: £43,000 per annum
Skills/Experience Required:
- Minimum 12 months’ maintenance experience within a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Mechanical or Electrical qualifications preferred
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
