We are looking for a motivated Electrical Control Design Engineer to join an expanding Controls & Automation team based near Keele. This is a new role in a growing engineering business, offering hands-on work, career progression, and exposure to exciting industrial automation projects. This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
Responsibilities
- Design and produce electrical schematics using Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical
- Work on VSDs, soft starters, PLCs, HMI's, and other intelligent control systems
- Create full documentation for manufacture and installation
- Support panel design, assembly, and wiring
- Attend site for commissioning and technical support
- Ensure designs comply with legislation, safety standards, and best practice
Hours & Pay
Hours: Flexible day shifts (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday). Option to work either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. Flexi time option - can work 8am-6pm and claim time back in lieu for extra days off.
Pay: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Yearly Bonuses (approx. £1300).
Skills / Experience
- Electrical Engineering qualification (BTEC / ONC or equivalent)
- Hands-on panel design, assembly, and wiring experience
- Experience with at least one: VSDs, PLCs or HMI's
- Knowledge of soft start technology and intelligent control products
- Experience using Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical
- Strong communication skills and team focus
- A valid UK driving licence
