We are looking for an Estimator with upwards of 5 years' experience to join an existing commercial function within a Manchester based building firm who predominantly work as a fit-out/refurbishment contractor throughout the North West. Projects typically range in value from around a few grand up to £2.5 million, so you will ideally be comfortable and challenged enough working on projects of this scale.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications Required:
- BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or other construction related discipline
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role within the Construction industry
- Mathematically proficient
- Effective communicator with sound decision-making, time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and subcontracts
- Thorough understanding of Construction Documentation
- Strong negotiation skills
What you will be doing:
- Review and communicate tender requirements with internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake site inspections and surveys to inform accurate tender submissions
- Prepare clear, professional tender documentation, including measurements, pricing, and CAD outputs
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks while developing value-adding opportunities
- Plan and manage procurement, subcontractor evaluation, and pricing from first principles
- Coordinate tender communications (TQs/RFIs), meetings, and bid adjudications
- Support smooth handover to delivery teams and maintain strong supply chain relationships
- Lead, mentor, and support estimating teams while maintaining estimating systems, records, and compliance
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Essential:

- All applicants must be able to commute to Manchester
- Full UK driving license required and flexibility regarding working hours and travel (in the Northwest)
