We are looking for an experienced Design Manager (Mechanical) to lead a talented engineering team in a dynamic manufacturing environment based in Derby! We are seeking candidates with experience managing mechanical design teams in machinery manufacturing, capital equipment, automation, or special-purpose machinery. This is a leadership role where you will oversee design operations, guide the development of innovative machinery, and drive engineering excellence. This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and manage the mechanical design team, planning workloads and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Develop and communicate design strategy for new and existing machinery
