We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our client's team based in the South London area! Our client is a well-established, respected and successful company operating in the food manufacturing sector looking to complement its production management team with the addition of a Production Supervisor. We are pleased to be able to offer this role on a full-time, permanent basis. Therefore, if successful, you'll be employed directly by our client on a permanent contract.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll be part of our client's production management team, responsible for the food manufacturing element of our client's business.
  • You’ll be responsible for:
  • Working alongside the Production Manager to ensure production targets are met, standards are adhered to and assist with the rectifying of any issues as and when they arise.
  • Managing a team, their performance, training and any development requirements.
  • Allocating work to the production team, checking WIP ensuring what is allocated can be done that day.
  • Ordering production consumables as and when required.
  • Ordering plant, materials and any equipment.
  • Working alongside the maintenance team to ensure machinery and production equipment is kept in working order, limiting downtime.
  • Arranging transport for UK deliveries.
  • Assisting stores/production with the transportation of goods around the factory using an FLT.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Pay: £40,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year.

Experience required:

  • Previous experience as a production team leader/supervisor/assistant manager within a food manufacturing environment.
  • An excellent standard of English.
  • Excellent management/leadership skills.
  • The ability to be proactive/use one's own initiative.
  • A valid FLT license.
