Job Description
Were looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Pump Engineer (Field Based) to join a well-established pump solutions company operating across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire!
Youll work on a variety of clean water and wastewater pump systems, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and installations. This includes water pressurisation units, booster sets, pumping stations, and submersible units.
This role is perfect for someone multi skilled with hands-on experience in pumps, valves, pipework, water treatment, drainage, or utilities and who ideally holds an 18th Edition electrical qualification. Youll enjoy a varied field-based role with opportunities for overtime at premium rates.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position.
What youll be doing
- Carry out mechanical servicing, installations, and commissioning of equipment including pumps, valves, pipework, pumping stations, and associated systems
- Carry out basic electrical tasks where required
- Diagnose and repair faults to optimise performance and prevent downtime
- Attend planned maintenance visits and respond to emergency breakdowns
- Complete accurate site reports, record job progress, and liaise with office support teams
- Ensure all tasks are completed in line with health & safety regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the business professionally on every site
- Operate and maintain a fully equipped company van
Hours
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (flexibility required)
Pay
Β£38,000 β Β£40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Overtime available and paid at premium rates

Essential
- Hands-on experience with Pumps, Valves, Pipework or similar
- A valid UK driving licence
Preferred
- Mechanical engineering qualifications
- 18th Edition qualification
- A background in Utility Maintenance, Water Treatment, Drainage etc
- CSCS, First Aid or Confined space training
