Job Description

Were looking for experienced Mechanical Pump Engineers (Field Based) to join a well-established and growing pump solutions company operating across Oxford, London, the Home Counties, and the M4 corridor!

Youll work on a variety of clean water and wastewater pump systems, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and installations. This includes water pressurisation units, booster sets, heating and HVAC pumps, pumping stations, and submersible units.

This role is perfect for someone mechanically biased with hands-on experience in pumps, valves, pipework, water treatment, drainage, or utilities and who enjoys a varied field-based role.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position.

What youll be doing

  • Carry out mechanical servicing, installations, and commissioning of equipment including pumps, valves, pipework, pumping stations and associated systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to optimise performance and prevent downtime
  • Attend planned maintenance visits and respond to emergency breakdowns
  • Complete accurate site reports, record job progress, and liaise with office support teams
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in line with health & safety regulations
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the business professionally on every site
  • Operate and maintain a fully equipped company van

Hours

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:45pm (flexibility required)

Pay

£40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Overtime available and paid at time & double time

Skills/Experience Required

Essential

  • Hands-on experience with Pumps, Valves, Pipework or similar
  • A valid UK driving licence

Preferred

  • Mechanical engineering qualifications
  • A background in Utility Maintenance, Water Treatment, Drainage etc
  • CSCS, First Aid or Confined space training
