We are seeking an experienced Electrical Pump Service Engineer (Field Based) to join a leading specialist in pumping equipment solutions, a business with over sixty years of expertise in the industry. This role is based around the Stoke-on-Trent region. You will work primarily on construction sites supporting wastewater operations, carrying out servicing, breakdown response, commissioning, and installation of pumping systems while working closely alongside a skilled Mechanical Engineer. Your patch will mainly cover Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire, with only occasional overnight stays required.
We are looking for an electrically biased engineer with a Level 3 Electrical qualification plus 17th or 18th Edition, ideally with experience in pumping equipment, valves, pipework, drainage, utilities, or similar environments across wastewater or clean water sites. This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What you’ll be doing:
- Electrical servicing, installation and commissioning of a wide range of pumping systems including pumps, pumping stations, kiosks, control panels and monitoring systems
- Carry out maintenance, inspections and performance monitoring of equipment
- Diagnose faults, troubleshooting and undertake high-quality repairs
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns
- Complete accurate site reports and maintain clear records
- Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the business professionally
- Drive the company van and ensure it is well stocked and maintained
- Manage petty cash and process payments efficiently
Hours: Monday-Friday, Day Shifts, 40 hours per week (flexibility required)
Pay: £36,000- £38,000 per annum (depending on experience) with an OTE of up to £45,000. Overtime paid at time 1/3 & time 1/2.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Essential Previous hands-on experience with pumping equipment such as pumps, control systems, monitoring systems or similar
- 17th or 18th Edition qualification
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to stay away from home occasionally
