Job Description

Were looking for an experienced Electrical Pump Engineer (Field Based) to join a well-established pump solutions company covering Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire!

Youll be responsible for the electrical servicing, installation, and fault-finding of pump systems including booster sets, pressurisation units, pumping stations, and submersible units. Work includes control panels, motors, and wiring, as well as supporting mechanical colleagues on larger projects.

Youll work both independently, and part of a two-person team for larger projects. Nights away are very rare.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be doing

  • Carry out electrical servicing, installations, commissioning, and fault-finding on pumps, motors, and control systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults on booster sets, pressurisation units, and pumping stations
  • Support mechanical colleagues on larger projects where required
  • Respond to breakdowns and complete planned maintenance
  • Complete site reports and liaise with office support teams
  • Work independently and in pairs depending on project requirements
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and to a high standard

Hours

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (flexibility required)

Pay

£40,000 – £50,000 (including overtime and bonuses)

  • Overtime at time
  • Double pay on Sundays
  • First-fix bonus
  • Call-out allowance/bonus

Skills/Experience Required

Essential

  • Electrical experience working with pumps, motors, or control systems
  • Electrical or electronic engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship etc)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • A valid UK driving licence

Preferred

  • Background in utilities, water treatment, or drainage
  • CSCS, First Aid, or Confined Space training
